Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing.
I recently posted about the fact that during the summer holidays my family and I went to Italy. It was a productive holiday, but there were some moments when I took some time to appreciate the surroundings, like the picture above of the field above with the hay bales. The landscape has changed as the farmer used to have kiwi vines on his land.
I love the beauty of a field filled with the blue chicory flowers.
And the simplicity of a tomato and mozzarella salad with basil leaves.
I used a lot of tomato while we were there.
While we tend to have just boiled beans here in England, to jazz it up a little I added some tomato as well.
Raw and cooked we were in tomato heaven.
