Holiday time with friends

Last week I wrote about how I was going to start a series reflecting on the 6 years that we spent living in Italy.  This post is going to be about the way we started off.  We had some friends who were planning to come over to Italy for a holiday and they included staying with us as part of that holiday.

We rented a gorgeous stone house on the outskirts of Montefiascone with plenty of space for all eight of us.

There was an external table to sit at and enjoy meals together.  There was a wood burning stove as well.

There was a garden to play in and a hammock to lie on.

If memory serves well, we didn’t spend that much time indoors.  We did quite a bit of sightseeing in the local area.  Looking back I’m glad this is the way we started our new life in Italy, spending some time with some friends of ours.
