No such thing as too much pizza

DSC00789

Last night we had a family dinner as my brother-in-law was celebrating his 30th.  We had home-made Italian pizza made with some Italian passata and the rest were English sourced ingredients.  It was a thoroughly enjoyable meal.  I must say that it does ring true in our family that there is no such thing as too much pizza.  I don’t know how many pizzas were made, I lost count.  All but two slices were eaten last night, by some rather hungry individuals.

One of the favourite toppings that was included in the line-up last night was caramelised onion and anchovies.  Pizza Margherita was another choice, as well as Margherita with spicy salami.  The spice lovers probably would have liked a more spicy salami used.  There was also a potato and rosemary pizza.

My daughter assisted her uncle making the dough.  Yes it was his birthday but he wanted to make pizza to celebrate his birthday.  It is a rather labour intensive dish when you make it at home, but home-made pizza is truly delicious.
